The perfect weekend

Who else had a perfect weekend? It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I know I have to recognize and appreciate it. Friday night, I took a light nap after work in order to survive the night ahead. I went out with friends for some drinking and dancing at Brixton, and we had such a blast! (So much of a blast that we slept very late the next morning.)

Saturday, we woke up and had a yummy brunch at The Madhatter in Dupont and regaled tales from the night before. Eric and I had a snuggly day in bed watching Guardians of the Galaxy (which I thoroughly enjoyed), then watched the Terps lose with friends. 

Sunday I headed home to watch football and do a little shopping at my favorite pastimes, Target and Old Navy. I even stopped into Michaels for some art supplies and practiced my hand at some watercolor on Sunday night!

After the all-encompassing weekend, I was ready for a slow and gloomy Monday. The rain definitely added to that, but at least I had my first Chesnut Praline Latte from Starbucks to brighten my morning (so yummy, by the way!). I got dressed in my coziest look to stay warm and dry:
