Gone are the scorchingly hot days of summer (for the most part). In DC, the weather is staying consistently below 90°, and that is something to be thankful for. The sun is starting to rise and set just a little earlier than it was, and these are all signs that the sweet month of August is almost over!
Stores are starting to get in some amazing pieces for fall, and I wanted to show off the pieces I plan to splurge on this season.
1.
J.Crew Stadium-Cloth Cocoon Coat $365
They had this in store last year, and I was truly obsessed with it. I couldn't manage to make the splurge, but knowing I need a new winter coat, I'm definitely hoping to get my hands on it this year!
2.
Ray-Ban Clubmaster Classics $150
Summer may be over, but the sun is still shining. I love the classic look of these shades.
3.
Michael Kors 'Slim Runway' Leather Strap Watch $195
I love the simple thin strap and large face; this would be great to pair with a casual flannel or sweater for a bit of glam.
4.
J.Crew Lowell Buckle Boots $328
I've been wanting a great pair of tan leather boots as my go-to shoes for fall. These fit the bill perfectly; I love the color, and the gold hardware.
5.
Crabtree & Evelyn Nantucket Briar Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy $20
Because the start of cooler weather means the start of extra hand washing (to avoid sickness), and dry skin.
6.
Sam Edelman Zola Leopard Print Pumps $130
Because leopard is a neutral, right? Plus these pumps in a classic cut will be wearable for years to come.
7.
Hunter Original Packable Tour Rainboots $148
In the city, when it rains, it pours. And when you can't rely on flip flops on a chilly fall day, avoid stepping into the gutters in your perfect leather boots by having these packable ones at hand!
8.
I love tortoise shell, and I especially loved it paired with pretty, soft jewels. Anything I can do to jazz up a tee is my friend!
9.
L.L. Bean Signature Cotton Fisherman Sweater $79
This is usually a little over my price range for a cotton sweater, but its classic cable stitch and simple cut makes this piece worth it.

Amanda
